The Society of St Vincent de Paul Conference at Our Lady of Good Health Catholic Church in Raisethorpe has launched a heartfelt Easter Egg Drive to support vulnerable families in the community.

This Easter, while many of us will exchange chocolate eggs as symbols of celebration and joy, the Society is focusing on something far more essential: real, fresh eggs. For the families assisted by the Conference, a tray of eggs is not a seasonal treat – it is nourishment. In many homes, this could be the only nutritious meal on the table over the Easter weekend.

Eggs provide an affordable and valuable source of protein, helping to bring both sustenance and dignity to those who are struggling. By donating fresh eggs, parishioners are helping turn a symbol of Easter into a practical expression of love and care.

Community members are invited to donate trays or boxes of fresh eggs. A collection box has been placed in the church for contributions.

If you are unable to drop off your donation but would still like to assist, members of the Conference are available to arrange collection. Please contact:

  • Matthew – 078 435 3112
  • Preggy – 060 003 8636
  • Ramona – 083 264 3739
  • Patty – 082 717 2075

Alternatively, you may contact any member of the Society at the parish.

Thank you to everyone who continues to support the mission of the Society of St Vincent de Paul. Your generosity ensures that families in need experience not just the symbolism of Easter, but the nourishment and hope it represents.
