When you’re old, destitute and all alone in the world, it’s easy to think that you’ve been forgotten. That’s why volunteers from SSVP take time to visit vulnerable elders at Frederic Place.
Founded in 1978 as a project of the Society of St Vincent De Paul, Frederic Place is officially registered as a residential facility for aged and destitute people in need of care. It’s one of few homes in Johannesburg that provide residential care and aligned services to elderly people who cannot pay for or access essential services.
Our team took cake, cold drink, beanies and blankets for the residents, who were most grateful.
